Transformers Alternity Bumblebee is the 3rd item produced in Alternity toyline after Convoy & Megatron. Alternity Convoy aka Optimus Prime produced in 3 colors, which is Red, Grey and Black. TakaraTomy use Nissan GT-R model for Convoy mold and Nissan Fairlady-Z to produce Megatron's mold. The red Convoy is the most sought after Alternity toyline because of the color which is resemble G1 color. Scalped sellers normally used VHTF (Very Hard to Find) acronym to remind potential buyers how expensive Red Convoy nowadays.
Lucky for me i bought Red Convoy earlier and the other 2 colors, grey and black (Black Convoy). That's why we must Buy 1st Regret Later in Transformers toyline because we never know which one will be the most sought after items.
For A-03, Alternity Bumblebee, TakaraTomy use Suzuki Swift Sport model, which is totally different from G1 Bumblebee or movies, Volkswagen Beetle and Camaro. This model looks smaller than previous 2 Alternity line, Nissan GT-R and Nissa Fairlady-z. The price also a slight cheaper from Convoy and Megatron. So, far TakaraTomy produced 2 color, yellow and red, which resemble Cliffjumper, Bumblebee sidekick or best buddy. Let's go on and check what so special about this Suzuki Swift Sport, Alternity Bumblebee.
Early look on the packaging of Alternity Bumblebee.
The color not so yellow because from here you can the green color spot on.
Out from the box, in vehicle mode, Suzuki Swift Sport. Notice the sport rims? No more detailing on that parts. Not for the previous 2 models.
Front view with the Suzki logo infront.
Side view.
Another front view.
Rear view.
Close up under the vehicle mode.
Open doors. "Hop in guys!"
First look in robot mode. Don't you think it looks kinda weird and funny especially on the chest?
TakaraTomy should make the chest and belly parts to show more of the car parts. May be flip the roof to show what's beneath it.
Close up on the head mold. Bear in mind that Cliffjumper came with different head mold.
Side view in robot mode.
Rear view in robot mode.
With guns.
Overall, i give this guy 8.5 out of 10. Why 8.5? So easy to transform and change it back to vehicle mode. The slack parts is the chest and belly, looks too bulky and hard to move. The color also not too yellow for me because at certain view, looks greenish to me. All and all, it still a great mold for me, small and cute plus with the G1 head mold, it does look 'Bumblebee'.
Most of the collectors bought Alternity Bumblebee because of the head mold and the sporty look of Suzuki Swift. For me, still, Buys 1st Regret Later.

Transformers Sea Spray
What a great rare finding indeed! I never expect to find the newest Transformers stock in Tesco Ampang. I went there for a meet up to COD PSP3006 from a fella through LYN Forum. While waiting for him, i took an express checked up for Transformers toys in Tesco and suddenly i saw Sea Spray at one of the small shops there.
The price kinda expensive but for me, not too expensive because retail price for a voyager class is RM119.90 and i bought Sea Spray at RM138.00 after RM1.90 discount. I tried several times asking for discounts but the seller refused and said her boss will scold her if she sell lower than that. Actually, i don't mind paying at the price of RM139.90, just trying my lucky charm.
Ok then, let's check out what is so special about this Sea Spray and what features he has. Let check from the outside first.
New design for Hunt for the Decepticons box, yellowish and full of cool design infront, inside and at the back.
More close up photo of the Sea Spray at the back which different from previous Hasbro's box design. More on robot mode and vehicle mode photos.
On the right side, we can see the biography of Sea Spray and details of his strength.
Another Ratchet repaint? *Sigh*
Out of the box but still with wires all over his body.
Close up a bit.
I noticed Hasbro's not using the wires anymore for their new toyline just papers wire.
First posed after released from the papers wire. Front.
Side view.
Vehicle mode, Hovercraft look a like.
Do you think what i'm thinking?
Side view.
Rear view. According to the info on the box, you can put any scout class at the back.
Another robot mode with his flippers out.
Those fan blades are moveable.
The flippers looks kinda funny though.
Side view. Hands up!!
Robot mode back view.
I think the harpoons kinda big and looks weird. Smaller harpoons look nice i think.
The manual also looks weird. They showed how to change it from robot to vehicle and from vehicle to robot at the back of the manual instead of showing just 1 step. More into friendly users?
Sea SP RAY?
Close up on the duck face.
Overall, i give this fella 9 out of 10. Why? The color looks nice, gold and ocean blue plus white to show Sea Spray related to the sea department. The transformation is easy. No need to refer to the manual 2,3 times. The articulation is also nice especially when you can pose Sea Spray any pose you like. In the manual, it also showed how to pose Sea Spray in Dive Mode. Just flip the flippers! :p
