Transformers Generations Sergeant Kup

It seems that Hasbro and TakaraTomy will be producing G1 characters in Generations, Reveal The Shield & United toylines. It all started with the War For Cybertron game where they started with Cybertronian Optimus Prime, Bumblebbe, Drift and Thrust. Followed by Megatron, Darkmount, Soundwave and Red Alert. The next wave are Blurr, Dirger, Cliffjumper and Thunderwing. After that Scourge and Sergeant Kup came in.

According to the official website, Transformers Generations will be stop after Warpath and so far, there's no news whether they will continue the Generations line or not. This is surely a bad news for Transformers collectors because Hasbro/TakaraTomy already started to produced back G1 characters but again, stop like what they did to Classics, Henkei and Universe line.

There are still lot of G1 characters to produce like Bluestreak, Trailbreakers, Brawn, Cosmos etc etc and i hope they can finish them in Generations and United line.

Now, let's turn our attention to our main review, Sergeant Kup. As we know, Kup is one of the main characters in Transformers TV series, season 3 and 4. He fought the Cons alongside Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod and Arcee. In the series, he is considered as a senior alongside Ultra Magnus and the most important figure to Blurr and Hot Rod.

Enough with the histroy, lets go to the review of Generations Sergeant Kup.

As shown here, Generations Sergeant Kup resembled the earth mode green pick-up truck. No missile but came with long rifle to attach to.

What i like about Sergeant Kup? The color, the mold and the alternate mode. Earlier i said the pick-up truck resembled a model from the 60s but if we look closely, it's a bit a combination between the 60s and the future pick-up truck. Looks nice and i hope another 3rd party will make something to add to this fella alternate mode.

Robot mode like wise, a simple but yet full of poseability. There's no stuck-in-the-middle parts that prevent Kup to pose. All parts work perfectly and the colors combination also looks good on this senior citizen of the Autobots. The chrome isn't too much and the green color also not that green to give Kup a bit to dull color to show him as a senior robot.

Definitely, a must get figure for all collectors because this is so far, among the best mold of Sergeant Kup. Can't wait for the TakaraTomy Transformers United version. Hope they didn't overuse the chrome color on Kup.

A 8 out of 10 mold.
