I read about this fella coming out under Hasbro's Reveal The Shield toyline and TakaraTomy's United Grappel last year and i found out few months later, Robot Kingdom is offering this voyager class among Reveal The Shield Lugnut & Strafe.
Without any remorse, i order it as soon as possible and reached Malaysian soil 2 weeks later. Thankfully and luckily, the package reached me in good shape eventhough i heard few forumer got their stuff, especially the boxes get crushed.
Lucky me, i got no problem with Robot Kingdom's toys and packaging. So, far, their style of packaging is among the best seller i've known. They normally used thick box, protected with lots of polystyrene and papers. For me, it's enough to protect the items inside as long as no human being will sit on it.
Enough with the packaging issue, let's go back to our review this time. Transformers Reveal The Shield Solar Storm Grappel. As we know, Grappel is the best buddy of Inferno. They even have the same alternate mode, almost the same firetruck as Inferno but Grappel came with a crane & a hook while Inferno came with a fire figther stuff. Grappel came with yellow, resembling a crane truck and Inferno came with red color, to resemble the Fire Fighter truck.
It's good to have this fella if you already got Transformers Universe Inferno. You can display them side by side whether in alternate modes or in the robot modes. The thing is Grappel came with longer crane which is you can extend it further.
Let's check it out!
First look Solar Storm Grappel in the box. I thought they spell it Grapple not Grappel. Even in the Transformers Wiki, they spell it Grapple. in United version, they spell it United Grapple. Which is the correct one exactly?
Another view from the side.
Back of the box.
Side view of the box showing off Strafe.
Grap-pel biodata one the other side of the box.
Out of the box, overall look.
Close up in the tray box, wired. Since it came in robot mode, i will review him in robot mode first.
Out of the tray box and unwired.
Frontal view of the body in robot mode.
Close up on the legs.
Another close up on the upper body.
Close ups on the head. Notice that Grappel came with different head mold.
Another frontal view.
Side view, on the right side.
Rear view.

Few poses with the crane showed here as a weapon.
Close ups on the feet and arm.
Few poses with the crane up, ready to attack.
Alternate Mode: Crane Truck with extended hook.
Side view of the crane truck.
Front view of the vehicle.
Close up on the hook.
Rear views.
With the hook extended..
Grappel and Inferno
From the alternate mode, both of them looks almost the same except Grappel's hook and Inferno's Water Hose.
Both got 4 exhausts.
In robot modes, we can see a slight different between Grappel and Inferno.
They even have the same mold of the legs.
Different head molds.
Do you notice that Grappel has the autobot insignia behind his shoulder.
What else i can say about Grappel? Well, it's complete Inferno so to speak. What is the use of Inferno if you do not have Grappel? They complete each other. Can display them side by side, in alternate modes or robot modes. Grappel color also not that dull because he resembel a crane truck and the color suits him well. Not much chrome on the alternate mode but can see it clearly in the bot mode.
What i like most about Grappel is, his long extended crane hook. Show his superior character even more. A must get toy for serious collector like me and not to miss in the United version but too bad Hasbro & TakaraTomy has to hold the production of Generations, Reveal The Shield and United due to make way for the Transformers Dark of The Moon movie toyline.
Hopefully they can continue making G1 character as a continous toylines, no matter how long it is, i will wait and will buy them without thinking twice.
A perfect mold to complete Inferno. 9.5 out of 10.
